The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) is a federal permanent residence pathway that opened in January 2025, after the participating communities were selected in 2024, as a successor to the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). It is designed to help smaller communities across Canada attract and retain skilled foreign workers to meet local economic development needs and fill labour shortages.
This community-driven program allows participating communities to recommend candidates for permanent residence who have a genuine intent to reside in the community and the skills to contribute to the local economy.
RCIP intake is rationed community by community. Before preparing an application, check the current rules on your community's own page.
The following communities are designated to participate in the RCIP:

| TEER 2 & 3 (Technical & Skilled Trades) | CLB 5 |
| TEER 4 & 5 (Intermediate & Labour) | CLB 4 |
