The Employment Pass (EP) is Singapore's premier work visa for foreign professionals, managers, and executives who wish to work in Singapore. It's designed for candidates with good academic qualifications, professional skills, and a job offer from a Singapore employer.

COMPASS Framework

New complementarity assessment for EP applications.

From September 2023, EP applications are evaluated using the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS). Candidates need to score at least 40 points to qualify.

Compared to local PMET salaries in same sector. Higher salary = more points.

C2: Qualifications 0-20 pts

Based on degree type and institution ranking. Top universities earn max points.

C3: Diversity (Nationality) 0-20 pts

Firm's share of local PMETs compared to industry benchmarks.

C5: Strategic Economic Priorities Bonus pts

Additional points for roles aligned with Singapore's strategic economic priorities.
